Our Networking event with North Shore Distillery was a fabulous event with lots of drinks and great conversation.  We hope everyone enjoyed their time there as well as donated to our cause to help local small businesses become even more of an important part of our community.  We are very excited to partner up with North Shore again as well as the community who had the opportunity to attend. Cafe Pyrenees Summer Gala

Recently this past Thursday in June we hosted the annual Fresh Start Summer Gala at the Cafe Pyrenees! Friends and family all came to celebrate Fresh Start’s recent success. The night started off with people coming together to socialize and network. Guests had the chance to bid for any of the silent auction items available such as paintings, wine baskets, and luxurious getaways. We also had a great musician, Darryl Armistead, come and perform for all the guests. After being able to connect with all the guests, people were able to sit down and enjoy a three course meal. The appetizer began with the choice of a summer salad and a gazpacho soup. Next was the entree which was either a barramundi fish or a beef filet. We lastly finished with a fruit sorbet. Following the dinner was the results of the silent auction. Thank you who all the guest who attended and bid on silent auction items. Your generosity will continue to help Fresh Start Business Incubator support small business owners and help them create and build a successful business.

Mentor's Meeting

Fresh Start Business Incubator hosted a mentor's meeting, where a group of both current and potential mentors had the chance to meet one of FSBI's newest clients, Paul Patricelli. FSBI is working with Paul to launch his unique grilled cheese food truck! The evening was a great opportunity for our fantastic mentors to help Paul with his business plan, as well as showing potential mentors the great impact they can have on local business startups. Everyone enjoyed Paul's amazing grilled cheese sandwiches and had a great time getting to know one of our clients. Fresh Start Business Incubator is looking forward to welcoming more mentors to the mentoring team, which will allow us to expand our efforts to serve Northern Illinois business owners. Cafe Pyrenees Fundraiser

May 26, 2016 - Libertyville, IL - On Thursday night a wonderful group gathered at Cafe Pyrenees in Northern Libertyville to participate in a Wine Dinner and support Fresh Start Business Incubator. The event began with a wine tasting and cocktail hour, which provided an enjoyable time for socializing and networking, then proceeded to a delicious three-course dinner created by Cafe Pyrenees' Chef Jean-Marc Loustaunau. The dinner was accompanied by three wines from Jackson Family Wines, expertly paired with the dinner courses by World Class Sommelier Annie McDonnell. 
This fantastic dinner was accompanied by a silent auction with exciting prizes such as a gourmet dinner for six created by Café Pyrenees' Chef Jean-Marc Loustaunau, a pair of Cubs tickets, customized cookies from FSBI client Maria's Cookies, and more! Thanks to the incredible generosity of the attendees, the dinner and silent auction raised significant funds for FSBI. These charitable contributions allow FSBI to continue helping small business owners in Northern Illinois realize their dreams to create successful businesses.
Several of the guests commented on the incredible quality of the event, which was a collaborative effort between the FSBI Board Members and Mari Loustaunau from Cafe Pyrenees. Village of Vernon Hills Awards Social Service Grant to Fresh Start

April 27, 2016

The Village of Vernon Hills has once again shown their commitment to local economic growth and improving the professional livelihood of their residents by awarding a significant social service grant to Fresh Start of Illinois, a Libertyville based organization that helps individuals with career counseling and offers a free business incubator to start-ups and early stage companies from the area. In a letter to Fresh Start President, John Edgcomb, Village Trustee Cindy Hobda wrote "The Village of Vernon Hills recognizes the important role Fresh Start of IL plays to assist our residents when the need arises."
In response to receiving this grant, Mr. Edgcomb wrote, "This service grant is an important part of our business and helps us sustain operations. The Village of Vernon Hills is a dedicated group of leaders that believe in the community and want to support us in our developement of people and businesses. We thank Cindy and the Village Board for their support and congratulate their constituants."
